Leather and Brass #2

This time gage is the second in the Leather and Brass Series, referring to the makeup of the dial – although it is very narrow, the ring dial is black calf leather and the markers are brass punchings. The dial is not the focus in regards to this piece though… the movement is the main character!

Leather and Brass #2 contains not only a one-off skeletonization of a Seagull Caliber ST2585 watch movement, but also the only one in the world. This movement has been super fun and very challenging to skeletonize. I have cut through all 5 layers, including the rotor, with particular attention paid to revealing the gearing of the power reserve complication on the dial side, which has been emphasized through heat annealing to different colors.

The 41.5mm stainless steel case for Leather and Brass comes from a pre-owned Bernoulli watch, and unfortunately it is not in perfect condition. There is a scratch in the crystal and a couple on the case back. I am therefore offering this time gage to its future owner with large savings incentives.

Leather and Brass #2 comes with a silicone strap, authentication paperwork, and a automatic watch winder. Shipping to the USA is included in the price.
